Thats not necessarily true I got plenty of "free" (not really free but you get the free prize, but you have to invest some money into it) Go to shopfreepay.com. So far I got a PS3 controller that cost me $2 a PS3 Memory Card Adapter cost me $1 and a PSP for $24. PM if your interested. I would post up proof pictures if I knew how to.
