I need help.

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong but I'll put here what I'm doing anyway.

I have Firmware Version 1.5
I'm using a GBA Emulator,(EDIT: PSPGBA v1.1 by psp298) I'm not sure where I got it or what version or something it is. When I run it with no roms or anything it has a 'The Incredibles' picture behind it. I put a rom on (PokemonFireRed) and load the emulator again.it comes up with the menu with the Incredibles, with four things that I can select:

GBA/
GBA/
Pokemon FireRed <E>.gba

and if I click on any of them, it just gives me a blank screen then goes back to the PSP main menu. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

EDIT: Hehe... I was pressing X which is cancel... I pressed O which is enter on the Pokemon one and it just went to a bright white screen for about 10 seconds, then shut down.
