On Pandora's Battery -- What's the difference between hard and soft?
I can't post links yet, on account of me being such a "n0oB," but if you search YouTube for "How To Install/Uninstall Pandora's Battery" you'll see what I'm referring to. It's a two-part tutorial on how to create a Pandora Battery using only software.
I was under the impression that the fifth pin needed disconnecting, as instructed on this site's guides. That requires sketchy re-soldering OR the purchasing of a new battery because without the fifth pin, the battery can no longer charge (or so I'm told).
What is the difference between a hard and soft Pandora's Battery? Since no damage (or additional battery) is required for the latter, it is obviously preferable. But it seems like there should be a catch. What is it? |
