Well most likely if your buying a new PSP(Phat or Slim) you are going to need Pandora's Battery.It's a special battery and MemStick they will allow you to downgrade you PSP(Phat) and install CFW(Custom Firmware)on the Slim.Search around the forum and read up on PB.
