Default how to install UMD activated led ?

Hello,
The mod I saw that I was talking about, I could finally find again the video on utube and in fact the trigger leds were just connected to the MS orange led unlike what I thought. So it seems that if I were to perfom the idea (UMD activity trigger leds), I would have to start from zero, as, apparently, nobody has done it before. As I don't have enough electronic knowledge (and tools), I think I will give up. And on another hand, maybe you're right Brandon : maybe the leds would blink non-stop during some games so it would be quite disturbing. But if I decide to try it anyway, I think I will not try your idea Chaotic of using a sensor. I would prefer (if possible) some electronic way (ie using some signal on the UMD board) because I fear that it would be impossible to have a sensor detect the lazer beam without affecting it and avoiding it to work properly. But I might be wrong. (sorry for my approximate english, it's not my native language) Anyway, I like the idea of connecting a transistor to the appropriate circuit on the UMD board to control the leds because it's cheaper and seems to me more reliable (also I'd like to make a tutorial if I can have it working). So I would research in this way. I would dismantle my psp and take measures during UMD access in order to find where to connect the led controlling transistor. As I said, I have very little electronic knowledge, so if anyone with enough background finds the idea interesting and motivating and wants to try it out, please don't hesitate !
On my side, if I find courage to take apart my PSP and start investigate the UMD drive, I will surely PM you Chaotic for help !
