"The Breed"

wasnt bad... but it wasnt good either. being a fan of taryn manning, it was nice to see her in a decent size part (beyond her few lines in Hustle n' Flow and her few sentences in 8 Mile). the movie tryed too hard to be scary, which is wasnt. the plot is pretty basic. 4 college students, island, angry animals (dogs in this case). what ruined the movie though was the dogs themselves. when they were suppose to be "scary and vicious" they just looked lost and confused. even when they "attacked" a cast member, they just looked like they were doing standard doggie rough housing. i ended up buying it today for $20, even though it was pretty bad... but i had to have it since im a fan of both taryn manning and cheesy horror movies. 3 out of 5
