That was the point with N64, Game cube, Ps1 etc. But now people are using them as Meda centers, no its not perfect yet but they have seen that people wont spend that kind of money just to play games. So with the ps3 you get a blu-ray player even though its not up to par with its counter stand alone units its still nice to have it. The ability to streem music movies from your computer also makes the true purpose of it no longer just a game console.
