Game Title : God of War: Chain of Olympus

Firmware Required : 2.71

Game Description : BEFORE HE WAGED WAR ON THE GODS... HE WAS FORCED TO SERVE THEM

The ancient world speaks of a mortal that slayed a God. But long before his battle with Ares, Kratos sought absolution from his past sins by pledging himself as a champion to the Gods. These brutal crusades in the name of Olympus became legendary. The Ghost of Sparta is now ordered by the Gods to journey the underworld, after the world plunges into darkness. There he must face the most feared creatures of Greek Mythology and forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction.

Number Of Players : 1

Genre : Action/Adventure

Retail Price : $39.99

Graphics (of 10) : 9.5 - All I can say is wow...this has to be one of the best games with graphics. There are few exceptions: the fire sometimes just doesnt move, when you stab someone, the sword goes to the side of the person, but these are minor. For a PSP, you really can't complain. Still, this is a eye-catching game.

Sound (of 10) : 9 I love the music, it goes right along with the game. I laugh sometimes when you kill someone and the guy moans in death. Sounds are a must in a game like this. Maybe if they had modern music, it will be even better, but still its cool.

Controls (of 10) : 10 - If you ever played the last two games, you would think that this game is impossible to put on the PSP. Guess what? You were wrong. The controls are amazing. By using a combination of controls, its almost better to play on the portable device. Using the trigger buttons to roll, and other functions, the devlopers made it easier on us to play the game. There is not one complaint i have on the controls.

Gameplay (of 10) : 9.5 - This being the first time I played God of War, I fell in love with it. From the beginning to the end, it was, no IS, the best game for the PSP. This game does have its limitations, though. It's really short. It has a lilttle amount of boss. But like i said earlier, it is still worth the $40. Playing on a slim 3.9m33-2 on 222mhz, this game is particular fast. I only saw one LOADING sign for no more than2 seconds. And this was only one of the many times i died. The cutscenes are like actual gameplay. And the minigames (playing a cutscene) are amazing too.

Overall (of 10) : 9.5 - I'm sure you heard the rumor: this game is only 5-6 hours long. Well I beat it in four hours. But don't let this discourage you from buying the game! It has reply value!!! You want to get those red orbs to be the ulimate warrior. You want to be able to see if you can beat a boss again, only faster. I do have one thing I would like to say. They devlopers at ReadyAtDawn should at least have downloadable content on the PSN. That way we could download more levels, even if it could not fit on the disc. This game is not a want, it is a must-have for any PSP gamer. Even if you haven't even played one adventure game, this game must be your first! So what if it is short? That doesn't mean that you shouldn't go get it. I am a not a TRUE psp gamer, but i am telling you now, please get this game.
