Default Not Enough Memory For The Internet!!???

Some sites on the internet simply aren't able to be rendered in the PSP's NetFront web browser. It's a matter of the pages being extremely loaded down with images and other memory-intensive elements. There's no getting around it. This isn't a problem for the monster gaming rig you're browsing the internet on right now because, simply put, it has the resources. Try hooking up an old Windows 98 box with up to a 333 MHz processor and 32-64 MB of RAM and browsing some of the more popular sites of today, you'll find that many of them are extremely sluggish if they work at all. The memory won't outright run dry because of the swapfile, but that's not something that can be implemented on a handheld platform like the PSP.

And to claim that there are game shops that will expand your PSP's RAM is ludicrous. When you open up your PSP you aren't going to find a convenient slot where you can add in more RAM because that slot does not exist. Furthermore, it is not a simple matter of removing what's already there and soldering in a new chip. Everything in the PSP is proprietary, manufactured by Sony for the PSP and the PSP alone. You can't even interchange parts between a fat and slim model PSP and expect both to work afterward.

As a footnote, does anyone know if the NetFront browser uses the full 64 MB of RAM when run on the Slim model?
