Is there any way to make SNES roms work that are really slow?
Go to the "Hack/debug menu" under "MISC", you'll find a number of options there. Most of them, when toggled, will improve speed at the expense of graphics. Experiment with them until you find something that works for you. You can also lower the audio frequency, but if you're using the media engine version that shouldn't make much of a difference.
Even if there are speedhacks for some games, they're still going to be slow. I've gone over this in a number of other threads, and what it comes down to in the end is that Snes9xtyl is ported from a PC-based emulator and not coded specifically for the PSP. |
