I can answer one half of your question ...
To install CFW on your PSP you will need two things ....
1. Pandora Battery :- You can purchase Datel tool battery or you can hard Mod your battery to pandora

2. Magic Memory Stick - There are various programs available which can make MMS in windows but i'm not sure if any program is available for Mac ....... Maybe some else can answer that.
Once you have both the things .... Insert the MMS and then Pandora battery ..... And press X to install the CFW
