New PSP Bundle Announced

May 21, 2008 - It was announced today, both on the official PlayStation Blog and through a press release, that SCEA will be releasing the Madden NFL 09 PSP Entertainment Pack this August. The bundle will include a brand new metallic blue PSP, a copy of Madden NFL 09, the UMD Video NFL: In Just One Play, a voucher for the PSN title Beats and a 1 GB memory stick. The bundle will hit retailers for $199.99.

This will be the only time the metallic blue PSP will be available in North America. Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Product Marketing at SCEA, commented: "Sports games are one of the most popular types of games among PSP owners, and it was only natural to make our next PSP Entertainment Pack a sports-themed bundle. PSP continues to have great momentum in the marketplace. We expect that the Madden NFL 09 PSP Entertainment Pack will capitalize on this momentum and strengthen PlayStation's presence in the sports genre."

Football fans are obviously very familiar with what Madden NFL 09 is all about, but In Just One Play will offer interviews and highlights on some of the NFL's top players. Beats, on the other hand, is a music game released late last year that enables you to import your own music into a rhythm based experience.

The bundle will be available on August 12th.
