Check the game / pops firmware compatibility list at: PSX on PSP Compatibility List - TheGamersPress

To switch the firmware version each game uses, get popsloader. There are torrents floating around with the full filesets for all pops versions below 3.80 (it even works for 3.90, but without a 3.80 pops set), but I can't provide a link due to its questionable legality.
