Default UMD drive help...

Hello all! I am new here and was hoping someone could help me or give advice.
I recently got a modded PSP from craigslist for $90. It seemed awesome at first.
I got home and figured out SNES emulators and such after some help from this site. I linked it up with my PS3 and played games wirelessly and all was good.
Well today I stopped by Game Stop and picked up FFVII Crisis Core.
I popped it in, and nothing happened. The system made some weird noises and the loader in bottom right never stops spinning. So obviously I called the guy I bought it from, he told me to change some settings. It still didn't work and now he doesn't answer his phone

My software is: 3.90 M33-2

I looked around the forum before posting, but it seems no one else has had this problem. unless I missed the post.

At this point I am guessing the laser is busted or something, but I don't feel safe fixing it myself (not to mention dont wanna pay for it). It's all really frustrating and I need some solution. Whether it's someone buying it from me for a fair price so I don't end up broke, or trading it for a working one and paying a little extra.

Where I am at: $90 for system, $10 for AC charger, $10 for Memory stick. Total of $110, buying a new UMD is like $40. so...I could have bought a new PSP all together in the first place. Such is life.

I am hoping someone has an idea or a fair offer.
THANKS!
