Well I have a PSP fat, so I'm not sure how to take apart a slim PSP, but if you have the same problem, try and find a guide to opening the system and check the gears. It took a lot of courage and patience to do it.

I was real scared to open my PSP to. But finally I just got frustrated and did it anyways.
I followed a certain guide.
Google search "sony-psp-umd-door-installation-how-to"
And its the one on llamma dot com
The only trouble I had was the UMD door, i accidently broke the hinge, but bought a new one on ebay to replace it.
Frontline, before you take it apart, make sure your laser lights up and moves up and down. If it wont move left and right, it might be the same problem. PM me or post reply if you have a question
