Default How to: Pandora's Battery - High Res Pics

@laughsalot: This is where it gets tricky. Pandora's Battery is the system of the magic memory stick and a "jigkick" battery (battery in service mode). You need both parts of the system to unbrick/downgrade a PSP, however there are multiple methods on how to make both components. The method shown here is for the battery part, or jigkick, and there are at least two other ways to modify the battery without opening it.

-Datel Service tool
-Use a program on another PSP that already has custom firmware

The memory stick can be made with Despertar del Cementario, which I've found to be the most trustworthy of all methods, and by pulling info off of a CFW PSP and messing with something called the elf on your PSP. without going into too much detail, let's just say it gets complicated.

As for the requirements of the PSP/Firmware, there are none except that you don't try to revert back lower than OFW 2.00 if you have a PSP Slim. There's a program called Time Machine that helps with that but that's another story.

I hope this helped.

Pandora's Battery is a hoax. Sony started the rumor in an effort to make people ruin their own batteries and buy more from them.
