Master15, the question is whether or not it is legal to download all versions of the above games even though only the PC versions have been released for free by their developer. Gadget1 isn't just asking if it's OK to download the games because he found them for free on any server. He saw the PC versions are now legitimate freeware (they have been for a few years now) and was asking if that makes it legal to download the PS1 versions. Unfortunately, it does not. I'm not actually sure if it would be within Rockstar's rights to declare the PS1 ports as freeware or if they would need to run that by Sony first, but either way, it's still illegal. |
Right sorry and also you can only download a game for free legally if the company who made the game says so. so basicalyy if the company(By company i mean the ones who made the game) says it's legal to download all versions of the above games for free then it's legal but then again they might say that only certain console versions are free so im a bit confused so the best way to know is to call the company and ask them
