Default Pandora battery is dead...

I have 2 PSP's and recently I bricked my best PSP. I didn't feel like redoing the MMS bullcrap so I never fixed it. I tried fixing it today but my battery does not work anymore. I put in the Pandora battery and it won't turn on. IS there anyway to restore this PSP without a Pandora battery. There must be a way! PLEASE HELP!!

EDIT: Well if the charger is pluged in I can get into the recovery menu, so the pandora battery must still be working. I just don't understand why the process isn't working like before. I did the MSS correct, but when I insert the PB, I just get a black screen, then the PSP shuts off after like 10 seconds.
