Review Guidelines
Ok lately we have gotten a few pretty bad reviews posted in this section of the forum. This cannot continue and we need some standards for posting reviews, this is just and example for now but will hopefully get updated and maybe even serve as guidelines in the near future. For now just take a quick look and if you feel that you need to express yourself wait for a review to be written or write a proper review yourself.
We will commission a group of people to take care of this part of the forum in good time, but until that please keep the crap reviews to a minimum. example of a bad review that will be removed if posted:
i got akira its really cool we watch it at lunch
and its awsome except for all the funken talking.
the animation is just as good as its origanl on the dvd.
the bike scene is one of the best parts. example of a good review:
If you have ever watched and enjoyed an anime movie, you owe thanks to Akira. If you enjoy anime that has gigantic demon cocks ripping open young girls or horrific biological growths you REALLY owe thanks to Akira. Released in 1998, Katsuhiro Otomoââ‚ƚ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s classic deserves a place on every film loverââ‚ƚ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s shelf. Rarely do films define a genre AND a generation the way Akira does. A word of warning though. The movie doesnââ‚ƚ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t make a whole lot of sense (and anyone who says it does has either read the comic or is trying to sound smart). Even so, like all high forms of art, you donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t have to understand it to know that itââ‚ ¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s beautiful.
