I dont think the signature rule is a bad idea, but it does kinda suck for some of the good members (people who actually know what the fuck they're talking about) Whatever though. And the search before posting isnt going to be enforced since theres always a new thread about the same topic everyday.

The "make a new thread instead of digging up a old thread" is the stupidest rule ever. Seriously, theres enough repeat threads already. Its better to bump and old thread instead of having to make a new one about the same topic. I know a few good fourms that delete repeat threads and then pm the members a link to the old thread.
