Bleach: Heat the Soul 6
Yeah yeah so this game's been out for a while now in Japan, and is only seeing stateside thanks to us modders and dumpers out there. Anyway, for those that haven't been keeping up, Bleach Heat the Soul 6 revolves around the war between Aizen and his Espada, vs the Soul Society. The game actually lives up to it's name and then some with the help of course of a great cast of characters, and a story that follows the Manga as well as the Anime and Movies. And with an all new Soul Creation System it's no wonder this installment is said by many critics in Japan to be one of the best. So on with the review...
Presentation: 8.5/10
Still the same old Heat the Soul game, with a few added bonuses here and there, this installment features the same menu structures and such, but adds the Soul Creation System which allows you to create a Soul Sphere tailored to your specifications. You could make one for all around defense or offense or just make it all around even. It's all up to you.
Graphics: 8.5/10
Not much has changed since the last installment. A tad bit better if your paying attention to detail, but nothing else really spectacular to speak of.
Sound: 8/10
Mostly recycled from the last installment, but with a new opening and ending. Surprisingly, as it is with most PSP games, headphones are a gamers best friend. The dialog between characters was a bit better as well, but you be the judge.
Game Play: 9/10
Surprised to see my rating for a fighting game that is mostly hack and slash, with some extra frazzle dazzle. Oh well, to my surprise, especially in team mode and even championship mode, the combination of characters and how they can link their attacks are marvelous. Better than it's predecessor, it leaves no stone unturned... literally. A must see with your own eyes.
Replay Value: 10/10
You'll definitely want to play this title over and over again, and I don't mean out of sheer boredom either. The story mode will keep you so occupied the first time that you'll want to go through it again and again, and not just to get that S ranking either.
Overall: 9.5/10
Well that's all I have to say about this title. See you on the next one... Next: Indiana Jones or Monster Hunter Freedom Unite...Hmm..... |
