Well you're lying there, because 3000's don't have IR ports. You should read up on IR Tech aswell, they DO have to be pointing at each other.
Also even if you do have a fancy fast IR port on your PC, i guaratee the one on the PSP ain't nearly as fast, so that's negated right there.
