Eboots shrinking?

I just dled FFT and it had the hotshotsgolf 2 icon for its menu picture and i didnt like it, so i used a popstation 3.0 beta i think? and i changed the fft picture and stuff but then when it was done compressing, the file shrank by half and now its half the size, and it currently works! Does popstation auto compress or what?

but to answer... no it shouldnt auto compress, but maybe it was a saved setting
