I picked this game up this past weekend and it's great. I personally think that it's the best game currently on the PSP (but mainly because I hate GTA). The controls are very intuitive and you'll have them down after the first mission.

Add mofo196 to your buddy list if you want to get shot in the face sometime.

headset isnt required but it is a nice option esp when u get spawn killers and u have no way to yell at them :-|....and headset is good for alot of the game modes were your on teams....sadly i dont got one mebe ina few weeks

yah i picked me up a copy,...but when the game required me to upgrade i stopped. really tempting though. the game sits on my desk and laughs at me at night. hopefully they'll find a way to patch so i can play it without losing the capability to play emulators

LoL dyam its probly gona be a long wait, y don you try upgrading to 2.0 and then when ur feelin done, you can always downgrade back to 1.5 for emus, yea its a bitch of a process but you will still get to make use of ur investment

also on another note, with that psp headset, im not sure i want to get one now, ... ive played halo and rainbow six on xbox live with a bunch of kids b4..... god dammit makes me want to go over there an bitch slap their moms

lol i just beat the game suprised it dident have more missions...guess i can always do instant action....and nah the online play isnt like that ppl yelling and shit.....ive noticed not much yelling goes on...but it is usefull and u can still hear ppl bitch unless u switch the radio off but its kinda usefull so u know were to take cover with certain game modes

I rented it from blockbuster and i beat it within a day. I also thought it didnt have that many missons.

I got Socom the first week it came out and I'm pretty good I only died like once or twice in story mode.
But, I went downtown last week to play online and it wasd fucked up, I didn't understande what the hell was going on, when i first joined I couldn't do anything but look around and switch weapons, I couldn't even move.
Then I joined another game and as soon as I started I got killed! Then I went back to that look around mode. WHat the hell is going on?

well some game modes are different man like before u play u might have to wait for the game to end to join again others u can respawn best to read manual and look over to right side of screen before u join game will display certian game type and if its open scoring or respawn or like ranked scoring...just try diff games and u will figure it out

I picked up Socom FTB a little while ago andim having a blast. Im 1 mission away from completing the single player campaign (first time through on the second difficulty). I havent had a chance to go online yet, not until i get a wireless router, but from what i've heard, its great online too.

this game owns. the online play is worth the money. !6 players at once. The replay value is all in the online play. I think i am playing online whenever i am able to get a connection. If i cant get a connection then i play the single player campgin.
