personal preference here of course but Jeanne D'Arc is a decent one.
Loco Roco, Me and my Katamarie, Patapon, Burn Out Legends are all some good time wasters as well.

Tiger Woods PGA 08 is my current fav game but not RPG of course. God of War is awesome but wont take you long.

once you get cfw you can load emulators and slap SNES roms on there to play those games as well.

::EDIT:: almost forgot, GTA Vice City is almost endless gameplay and you can screw around plenty as well.

best rpg that you'll have to amazon for is tales of eternia.

some other one's that are great are:
tales of the world: radiant mythology
Valkyrie profile
brave story
popolocrois

but ya once it's hacked you can play any ps1 game meaning ff7, ff8, ff9, crono cross, star ocean...etc...
get it hacked lol

technically, yes you can rip them etc, but this forum doesn't support piracy, just thought i'd give you a heads up b4 you go and start giving out or asking for links to download psp games.

For a really long game, try Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. The main story takes over 40 hours to beat, then there's an story you can play through after that one (its called Etna mode, check out how to unlock it before you start playing the first time).

If you really get into it you can spend hundreds of hours leveling and maxing out your characters. Its a strategy RPG like Final Fantasy Tactics.

Also, if you have custom firmware check the site for how to get your old PSX games up and running on your PSP memory card.
