Some will argue that fully charging then discharging the battery when its new will help it retain a fuller 'memory' and a longer lifespan  Maybe as a safety precaution before performing Pandora surgery? Would that reduce the chance of explosion?

heres a rlly good way: use irshell's loop music function, and then launch a iso or somthing like that. should use alot of battery power. make sure you dont have the psp plugged into the ac adapter and make sure you dont let the stupid thing go to sleep. then ur kwl.
