i think it charges as much power as you are using when you are online.
so it doesn't die and it doesn't charge up, its kinda maintaining it.
and theres proof its charging cos when the green light flashes (meaning low battery) you stick in the charger and then it stops flashing.

Another thing to consider is how are you charging your PSP? When I use a USB charger it is very slow and hardly charges while playing on it (non wifi). But when I switch to the wall charger it charges much faster either while playing or turned off.

This is an old thread but nobody has mentioned or asked about how it's being charged. Wall > USB for charging.

What boggles my mind is how this one is a no-brainer...and yet it still manages to get it's own sticky when there are much much better threads out there that SHOULD be stickied, but aren't.

FWIW, at Gamestop they sell a USB/Power cable for PSP's for like $10 that allows even Gen1 PSP's to be powered through a computer's USB port.

this is really great..but when i plug in the ac adaptor to my psp and i start playing...if the cable moves a little bit my psp just turns off. and when u turn it back on, ur psp is restarted and the umd auto start goes on. then i have to start my game all over.
anyone can help me?
