winrar game file that extracts to bunch of non iso?

hey guys,

quick question. Recently I extracted a winrar file that was supposed to be "fight night round 3". inside the folder was a bunch of files labeled ifc-fnr and then a number after each of them. the numbers were sequential. There was no iso or cos file in the folder. what the heck happened?

the winrar file you have IS THE GAME! that winrar fils is an iso. drag the whole file into the iso folder on your ms and run it. if you want to be sure, compress it to a cso. that way u wont get mixed up.

as it turns out, each of those sequential files was a winrar file...even though it didnt have the .rar extension. I extracted one ofthem and it had an .iso in it. I am wondering though, why were there 10 files included if i only needed one? I have noticed that some of my "downloads" have a bunch of .rars in them, but really i only needed to extract one. weird. anyway thanks for your help

because the .Iso file is split amongst the .rar files.
If you look at the size of one of those .rar files itll be about 80-120mb (roughly) which is not enough for a .iso file (usually about 600-700mb)
So the iso is split into parts. (the .rar files)
So when you extract one, it extracts part 2, part 3, 4 etc...until the whole iso is made up.

Also, we arent allowed to talk about illegal downloads on here, you should "back-up" your games

Thanks...and sorry about that. What I meant was I extracted from a file that was supposed to be my back up of "fight night round 3". I probably should have mentioned that part.
