Hey I have two questions. The first thing I was wondering is, is it possible to copy an actual game file from a UMD onto a memory card, and can it be done without homebrews or custom firmware? And are there any places to get old ps1 style games free without pirating, like out of date copyright games?

you must have cfw or ofw 1.50 to rip a umd to your memory stick, and i don't believe there are any out of date copyright ps1 games, there is snes.
