Default Trying to play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum (& psp Mods in general) and I searched for a similar question, found one but my situation may be different considering the hardware I'm using.

I wanted to get another PSP so my wife and I can play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite together. I have a PSP 3000 (with actual UMD for MHFU) and recently bought a modded PSP-2001 from a friend. My friend has 3.90 M33-2 running on it.

I ripped the ISO for MHFU and put it on the PSP-2001. I tried meeting up with my wife's character and could not find her in the same lobby. We both put quests and couldn't see each other.

I was thinking of unmodded the PSP 2001. Can someone give me any suggestions. Is it a matter of me just upgrading to a more current firmware?

Thanks!!
