Default PS2 Ports to PSP?

Well I know some people will come in here and say not possible. Well you might just be wrong. Mana Khemia a PS2 game was released a while back for the PSP don't get me wrong here without installing the game to your memory card it did run kinda slow. Now, after waiting a bit longer Konami is soon to be releasing a port of Shadow of Destiny out on the PSP in Japan and no idea just yet if it will be released here. Here is a nice lovely link to the article.

To die for: Japan getting Shadow of Destiny PSP port

Now I wonder, with a few edits possibly some more PS2 games could be ported over like low-end graphic ones.

Thoughts and comments please.

Any ps2 game can be ported to the psp. Of course they will suffer slightly in the GFX department, also consider that the average ps2 game is on a 4gb dvd. The psp UMD games are usually 1.5gb, so the games will be stripped down. It was proven possible with GTA vice and liberty city. I just hope they do san andreas stories.

Yep of course it's possible, but for the work involved i don't see many first party companies doing any.

I've no idea what that game is, but i just don't see the time needed and the ammount made from sales matching up.

As far as im aware there are no multi UMD games, although theoretically now the pspgo has downloads, they could make a 8gb game if they wanted. The problem is no one could download it without hammering thier monthly limit and it would alienate classic psp users.

Like killer3737 says, there is just no point and would require way too much effort from publishers.

Actually there is a two disc UMD game that for some dumb reason wasn't released here. Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki SC. That was a two disc game out of a 3 part series. Sadly enough never released here but gameplay wise for an RPG was awesome.
I don't know though some ports would be nice. Like who wouldn't love Final Fantasy X on PSP? Or heck freaking kingdom Hearts 1 or 2 on PSP?

san andreas stories is not possible on a umd
first of all, GTA SA required a dual layer disc
porting it to the psp would require so much watering down and stripping that the game would FAIL
I mean VCS already took 1.6 Gb pretty much filling up the UMD(dont know how much space is required for the UMD to work) and it didnt even have all the features from SA
so yeah SA equals no-go
