Angry PAL game on NTSC PSP...

There shouldn't be any problems with this, am I right? I have two versions of Tales of Eternia on PSP--the original PAL release and the undub--but in both versions the intro movie skips like crazy and is basically unwatchable. The game plays fine otherwise. Is it just this game or what?

Default PAL game on NTSC PSP...

PSP games are region-free.

And do you have this compressed to a .cso? You really shouldn't use .cso's if you are because of issues like this.

The PSP isn't NTSC/PAL region coded. They're all capable of 60hz, and all have the same resolution of 480x272, scaled from 720x480.

Yeah I don't bother with CSO. Just confirming that it can't be the region difference. I'll look into it some more, thanks

Haha, this is hilarious. I compressed the game to a CSO and the video skipping went away. Same thing happened with another game. And there are some games that take a minute to start up as ISO, but 10 seconds as CSO. The only problem is that they have a bunch of slowdown as a result. Maybe if I compress them only halfway...
