Socom 2 Be Freezing?????

What Up All.
I bought me 2 days Ago the new Socom for PSP.
I know i Gotta Upgrade my Firmware to play it,
But,....
I succesfully made a ISO back up of my Game.
I deleted the UPDATE folder from my UMD Ripp.
Then ive put the setting change 2.00 to 2.x.x (Or something like that).
Now,......
The game is at (First) Loading now......But i cannot even go threw the main menu,..because 5 seconds after it started,..it black-out and Freeze.
(Like close By Himself)......

So now im reading Threads All over the net where people say they run it perfectly,some say they had trouble with the Online infrastructure,.....but EVERYONE seem to run it at Least.

I have a TA-082,Using 2.71 firmware and also Using Devhook for 2.71

I Know At Least One of U Guys Can Help Me on That One,....
I dont even wanna Play the online feature,..Just the main Game.

dude im trying to play a backup of Valkryie profile zenneth and i have
the same setup as you, after the 20 minute intro to starting a new game
you run your charecter into battle, the opening screen starts for battle
and the game freezes then psp goes black and shuts it';s self off ..

could it be the iso / cso file ? or is it a bug with our 2.71 firmware..
someone needs to respond to this a.s.ap!!!

why cant you use dev hook as an updateed FW for socom?

HEN-D does help a little.....but only for socom 2.....
Gun Showdown and Cabelas African Safari still do the same,i can see the icone threw the UMD,can click it to start it,then it load-up...show the damn video intro,and then Boummmmmmm A Big nothing .......PSP close after a damn black screen........

Ive tryed it with HEN-C,HEN-D
Also Devhook 0.46,0.4x for 2.71,0.51 beta,0.51 beta for 2.71
And i even tryed it with a 3.01 firmware(Emulated) and its the same shit again and again....

Yo smoke lemme know if that worked for you man...

i tried another cso of valkryie and sat through that long ass intro
again, same thing happened it crashed n blacked on me.. i been skeptical
abut emulatin my firmwareon the higher end cuz i heard theirs alotta bugs
in it right now..

corrupshan,i suggest you to emulate 3.01.
I dont know if we can emulate 3.02 yet......like someone said here,....
but its very stable for me......
Still some games dont load though.
But im sure valkyrie will load with it.

thanks man i'll get that setup, i've noticed the same black screen and crash
with a few games so far now, family guy crashes after about an hour of
gameplay in the same location.. valkryie crashes after sitting through that
long intro which has no way of skipping.. i swear i watched the intro 5 times
now and have it memorized.. lol Gun crashes at same spot also.. i havent had
much time to fool around with it enough to setup emulation for 3.01 but i'll
take ur advice and see what happens.. after i got my psp i took maybey 2 or
3 minutes to set up henc and dev for 2.8 i was surpsied at how fast that
shit could be done lol
anyways i'll keep ya posted on any change..

P.s! some games played all the way through, like medal of honor heroes
def jam fight for ny, few others. which are newer releases than the crap
that's crashin on me so i didnt think it had to do with firmware..

Well i have socom and 3.02 not emulated....does it crash online or just in regular play?? but right now the online server has a few bugs and it doeas that for ever1.

hey i emulated the 3.01 and i tested out vakryie again it works
great, didnt freeze-up (also set the dh to 892x instead of 894x preloader
or w.e the fuck.. ) at that same spot, so that's that i guess.
i did a test on socom 2 for you also since we have the same
setting and hardware configuration.. it works fine man ... its not my kinda
game though the controll's giving me a headache.. but i played it for
about 30 min no problems..

one problem i posted allready though after emulating the 3.01 is that
my x and o button's are reversed, which is really frustrating the crap
outta me.. lol if i do a hard reset back to normal setting it's fine or
emulate 1.50 it works normal just 3.01 it's backwards.. anyways w.e
i think you should try a different ISO to socom man .. the one i have
has 2 seperate.. 1 multiplayer and 1 single player.
single player is 604,220 kb multiplayer is 903,168 kb. incase that
helps man dunno..
