2.71 SE, 3.02 OE, 3.03 OE Plugins Tutorial

alot of people on this site are asking how to use plugins for the 2.71 SE, 3.02 OE, and 3.03 OE firmware psps so i made a tutorial on setting up and running plugins, btw the prxs im refering too are plugins in this thread

This is a Guide the orx plugins for Dark_Alex's custom firmwares

Requirements
*2.71 SE, 3.02 OE, 3.03 OE Firmwares


Instructions

Step 1) Setting up the files needed

*connect your psp to the computer
*go to the root of your stick, right click and create a new folder and rename it seplugins,
*in the seplugins folder, right click and create a new text do-cu-ment and nameit pops
*in the seplugins folder, right click and create a new text do-cu-ment and name it game
*in the seplugins folder, right click and create a new text do-cu-ment and name it vsh

Alright, now what are the text do***ents for? (READ THIS)
*the vsh text do***ent is for enabling your prxs in the psp's menu (this includes the web browser, photo veiwer, and while watching a movie)
*the game text do***ent is for games enabling your prxs during a game (this includes isos, csos, homebrew games, homebrew emulators)
*the pops text do***ent is for enabling your prxs during a psx eboot game (both custom and sonps1 eboots, im not absolutely sure this works)

Step 2) Download your prxs
*Download the prx plugin you want, try looking at psp-updates, psp-hacks, etc
*also ive upload the prx plugins i use below (download section of this thread)

Step 3) Setting up the downloaded prx plugin
*copy the prx to the seplugins folder

Step 4) Setting up the vsh, pops, and game text do***ents with your prx plugin
*alright, now decide when you want to use your prx plugin, do you want to use them durring the psp menu, while playing a game, playing a psx eboot, or all three of them
*alright now that you decided open up the text do***ents you want your prx plugin enabled in
*on the text do***ent type in the prx plugins directory, example below
ms0:\seplugins\lcscheatdevice.prx
ms0:\seplugins\vcscheatdevice.prx
ms0:\seplugins\irsmp3.prx
*Basically type this ms0:\seplugins\then the name of your prx.prx

Step 4) Enabling your prx plugin in the recovery mode
*hold the power button up on your psp until it turns off
*turn it back on holding the "R" shoulder button, this should put you in recovery mode
*go down to the 6th option which should look like
Plugins ->, and press x
*you should now see the list of prxs you have in your seplugins folder, if you did the text do***ents right
*simply go down and enable the plugins you want

What does the [VSH], [GAME], and [POPS] thing mean?
*if you want to enable your prx plugin to durring a game enable the prx with the [GAME] beside it
*if you want to enable your prx plugin to durring the psp menu enable the prx with the [VSH] beside it
*if you want to enable your prx plugin to durring a psx eboot enable the prx with the [POPS] beside it

*NOTE if you enable this prx in the xsh, it will not allow you to launch homebrew

my psp wont go into recovery mode i musta tried it at least 7 times already can someone tell me what im doing wrong? thanks

did you hold the power switch up until the psp turns off? then turn it back on while holding r? are you running one of Dark_Alex's custom firmwares?

well the psp needs to be completely switched off... not just in sleep mode.

lol I don't know what just happened: I downloaded the brightness rar archive to my psp and then extracted it via irshell. somehow the fourth screen brightness now works, and It doesnt appear in plugins... :?

hey man no double posting you could get banned hey need help on where to,put the brightness mod in the seplugins and doesnt work anyone know how to.

hmmm, i never actually use the brightness mod, i can see just fine in 3rd brightness, supposeably it worked on the SE firmwares

i can't seemed to use the plugins.. for example:
i tried the screen capture prx, i put the prx in "seplugins" then i created 2 text doc [VSH and GAME] in both of them i wrote ms0:\seplugins\capture.prx and i have enabled it through recovery mode. But i can't use it, i followed the instruction that comes with the zip file... like:

CONTROLS

Music Button = Take ScreenShot / Stop Recording Video
Right Shoulder Button + Music Button = Start Recording Video
Right Shoulder Button + Left Shoulder Button + Music Button = Start Recording "Full Screen" Video.

Is there anything i did that's wrong or haven't done to make it usable?

yeh guys i downloaded the brightness mod to my psp root, then went to irshell and extracted it... using all the default options.. and now my psp strangely has 4 modes(w/out charger), except the module doesnt show up in the plugins menu,,,
