3.40 OE-A O-X button switching

Hey just want to know before i go ahead and install this. I prefer the O-X button functions that are default for european users i.e. the X is select and the O is for cancel/back. In this firmware is the button functionality the Japanese/USA way or the european way? + also is there a way to switch these? I had these switched to the european defualt when i was running devhook 5.1 with 3.11 fw just wondering if i could do the same with this. thanks in advance

to swtihc it... just turn your psp off completely (hold it up for like 5 seconds), then wait about 2 seconds. While holding the r button, turn your psp back on. You should come to a blue-background recover mode. GO to Registry hacks and you'll be able to change X's and O's functionality. You can always swithc back this way too. But... jsut remember x's and o's change when you boot up a game/umd. The country the umd is in... is the way your x's and o's will be set up. for example:

PSP: O = enter, X = cancel
in US Tekken DR, X will be enter, O = cancel

a quick flash and 3 minutes later im am now the proud owner of a 3.40OE-A firmware psp that uses X for select and O for cancel Thank you very much. Btw after installing Fw off the mem stick is it ok to remove the installer file off njen stick or dos the fw need it 2 run?

yup after flashing you can now format your memstick to start fresh and normally that will delete the installer also so congrats and welcome to the modding club.enjoy your psp.....
