Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

hello, this is a great guide and I am very close to completing the install. when i run the m33 creator, i get an error message "PBP signature don't match" any ideas on where i am going wrong? i just downgraded to 1.50 prior to attempting this. I do appear to have the files with the correct names and in the correct folders.

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

I'm upgraging from 3.52 M33-4 to 3.71 M33-4 and I followed the guide step by step but when I launch the app' it says "verifying 371.PBP....... cannot open file" then it launches the UMD in the disk tray but stays on 3.52 M33-4.

I copied the Dark_Alex update folder into the GAME folder then I changed the other Eboot file to 371.PBP and put it in the same folder and launched the app' but nothing works, do I need to copy the SND file too? Please help.

which 150 kernel do i need to download? i'm now on 3.71 M33 I just need the 150 kernel then i'm updating to 3.71 M33-4. Can anyone give me the direct link to the 150 kernel I need because the one I spotted on the Dark_Alex website had "for 3.80" next to it.

Thanks.

got a problem. followed your guide word for word but when i go to run the update i press x and get this message...incorrect or inexistant 150.pbp in root. so what wrong? i got the 150.pbp double checked i wasnt renaming it 150.bpb put EBOOT in the root of the ms not in any of the files PSP, ISO, Pictures, ETC.. put dark alexs update file in the Game380 folder but keep getting this message. im running FW 3.80 M33-5. currently 3.80 kernel is on, do i have to adjust it with the 1.50 kernel instead in recovery menu to do this update?

i figured it out, stupid mistake really, turns out when i renamed the update i renamed it 150.PBP which is wrong the psp was reading it as 150.PBP.PBP thats why it was not working, you should edit that tutorial to say to rename update "150" then put in root menu, the psp will read the EBOOT as 150.PBP automatically, as soon as i did that, update worked like a charm! thanks for your feedback guys appreciate the help. keep up the good work
