To install CFW on a newly store bought PSP, you need to have Pandora's Battery along with the Magical Memory Stick.

If you wish to inquire about said items, there is a useful "search" function on these forums.

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

Hi guys,

Sorry to bother everyone but I was wondering whether you could help me out:

* Copy the folders 'kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher%' to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Copy the folder 'M33CREATOR' to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Run the kxploitpatcher program.
* Download the official 3.52 update: PSP Downloads | PSP 3.52 Firmware Update and rename to 352.PBP.
* Copy the 352.PBP to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Download the official 1.50 update: RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting and rename to 150.PBP.
* Copy the 150.PBP to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Execute '3.52 M33 CREATOR' under GAME on your PSP.
* Then execute '3.52 M33UPDATE' under GAME on your PSP. <------
* Once finished, press X.
* Have fun on 3.52 Custom Firmware!

I am at the step highlighted by the arrow above. However, I get the following error message: "Checking psar integrity...Incorrect psar' when the '3.52 M33UPDATE' is running.

Any ideas? Help much appreciated. Thanks.

Referring to my previous post, problem solved! I was using a 2GB memory card previously, and I tried using my brother's 4GB one and it worked!

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

I'm having a strange problem. I have successfully been running 3.52 m33 and just got patapon. I read it needs 3.90 so, I have been trying to install it. I updated to 3.52 m33-4 and attempted running the 3.90 m33 update and it just freezes on Please wait.... So, I tried doing the 3.80m33 and the 3.71m33 and they both say I need 3.52 m33-3 or higher. I check system settings and it says I have 352 m33-4! I've reinstalled 4 a few times and can't get it to work. Suggestions?

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

@tpspman: Actually, I've played all those games on 3.90 M33 and M33-2 without a problem. It's not a problem with the FW in any way unless I was lucky enough to be the exception to the glitches.

What is the FW version you have installed? I see you're a first-time poster too so you may be a noob for all I know. are you on FW 3.XX or 3.XX M33? (where the X's can be any number)

Hey guys, havin the same problem here. In the guide it says to hold R when starting to get into setup, that don't work either. Tried formating two different cards and still no go. Only reason i'm trying to upgrade is that i can't get my emulators to run, 3.52M33-4 doesn't need the 1.5 kernal right, you set it up in setup, which I can't get to. frustrating to say the least. suggestions?

Ah, still the same deal. It feezes after unpacking and "Please wait..." I formatted the card and just put on the 3.90m33 release + 390.pbp. Other ideas? Also, still when trying 3.71 or 3.8 it tells me i need m33 3.52-3 or higher.
