Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

Thanks for great guide
so i have 2.60 psp, im going to downgrade to 1.5 tonight and then upgrade to 3.90 following the guide given.
Im looking to play psp games as well as mega drive, snes games. do i just save psp ones on the stick to play and use emulators for the snes and mega drive games?
from what i understand is i just start in 1.50 kernal to run emulators

new to this so still trying to understand the terminlogy iv saw in the threads about homebrew etc.

also can you tell me what files can be deleted after i have upgraded to 3.90 custom firmware

well, if you don't have important files in your ms, like music, video and games, you can simply format it.

or you can delete all the files you use in upgrading, they wont be needed.

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

I followed the guide to the letter. But for some reason the installation of 3.52 fails. I get a black screen with the message "File 352.PBP couldn't be opened. Press x to exit". Can someone tell me what I've done wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out.

Firmware Installed: 1.50

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

I really hope you can help me because I'm having a problem running the KXploit permanent Patcher. It says 'this application doesn't apply to this firmware' but I've checked under system information and it says that I'm running version 1.50.

So I don't know what to do, I think it might because I reformatted my memory stick and before it had more folders like GAME150 and GAME330 or something like that and now they've gone and only GAME is left...

I decided to follow the rest of the steps and leave that out but M33 CREATOR 3.52 is called M33 CREATOR 3.51 and there's a corrupt file which I think might be the update thing. Is this because the KXploit patch didn't run?

I'm really not good at this sort of thing so I don't know what to do. My dad bought me a PSP with custom firmware installed and I think I downgraded it to 1.50, at least it says it's 1.50 but I can't install Sony Firmware now because it comes up with an error and I really want to be able to play Crisis Core which requires version 3.95 and this is my last hope.

Yeah I formatted the memory stick using the PSP in system settings. I tried creating a folder called GAME150 but anything I put in there doesn't show up in the psp...

EDIT: Ok, nevermind I found this post after I found the post on some other site I think it was called Afterdawn and I was using the M33CREATOR folder from that website and those files were obviously from another update 3.51 I think. I visited the link at the top of your thread and downloaded that one and it seems to have all worked now! Thanks for the tutorial next time I'll make sure I read everything properly...

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

I am having the biggest problem. I can't seem to find the right file for 3.90m33 cause everytime I try to download it, its not even a file anymore. It is a white paper with a little window inside of it. So anyone know where I can find the file for 3.90m33?

@snake1: One possible soution is like psp4lyf said and that you don't have winrar installed. another is that you may have downloaded the wrong file (it may or may not be you fault) which is why I stick to downloading the M33 firmwares from Dark AleX himself from his website. you *do* need winrar for almost any download as of late so it would be a good idea to get an updated version if you can.

@psp4lyf: I don't wanna get into a flame-war or anything but isn't the "download psp games here" thing kind of against the forum rules? downloading commercial PSP games is bad for everyone and shouldn't be done.

Hmm, im trying to update to 3.52 m33 from a 3.03 oe-a psp. I've put the 352.pbp and 150.pbp in m33creator folder, but when i go to the memory stick on my psp i just get a "corrupted data" file. Any insights into this?

just format your memory card on your psp OR try using another memory card and once you psp got CFW then use your memory card that you get "corrupted data" then just format that on your psp
