Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

so um yea..
ok
I am 100% new to this custom firmware stuff.. I have a PSP-1004 K version with 1.5 firmware. ANd my PSP is the fat one not slim.
So now.. After looking at tons of guides.. most of them were a year old, but this is a few months old so i am going to follow this: but i have a few questions :P

Firstly what is this Pandora's battery thing.. Do I NEED IT to even do this custom firmware stuff or will my battery work? AND IF it does require this Pandora's battery.. HOW can i check IF I Have ONE. I didnt buy this PSP from the United States so it might have one D thanks!

And also are there any additional requirements for this thing to even work... like does my PSP have to have a specific motherboard or something?

ok and also, can i go from 1.5 to 3.90 m33 in like one step or do i have to follow all the in between upgrades first?

Thanks!! please i am a big noob bec. its my first time doing this. BEFORE i do this i need confirmation on this PLEASE

THANKS!

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

I have cfw 3.52m33-4 and I want to upgrade to 3.90m33-3. I wanted to know after I put the 3.90m33 update folder into the psp/game/ and the ofw 3.90 eboot into the psp/game/update, how do I run the program? Do I go to game in the psp menu and then memory stick then press x and scroll to the program to run it?

Question step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

So first of all: Your Guide is really good and the first one which is complete
BUT
ther are still some Questions in general allthough they are answered on this webside allready
1: What Updates do I have to install to get from 1.50-3.90 ALL?
2: Do I come back to 1.50 if I want to or is it "gone"? /downgrade\
3: I really haven´t cared about Firmwares and stuff like that for a long time.
I had Devhook before but Devhook is old (as I read) so is there something new, similar to Devhook?

Thank You very much
I hope/think you can help me!!!

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

Hi, I am newbie. I just got my PSP Slim (Piano Black) with the original firmware 3.90. Its a PSP-2006. I have been browsing a lot about how to convert it to a custom firmware so that I can play games off the memory stick. However, I havent come across a guide or hack for this PSP-2006. I read that this version of the PSP cannot be pandorized? (I dont know if it is true?)

Can anybody in this forum help me? I want to install a custom firmware on it, but how and what to do - I haven't got a clue.

Thanks.

Why people still upgrading to OE-A? Is that better than M33? I know we can use popsloader to load PSX more stable like in OE-A

Default step by step-1.50 to 3.90m33 guide

hello there!

hey, i've been reading this tutorial i'm sure at least 100 times now. i've been looking all over the web about all this new stuff of updating from 1.5 to 3.52 m33-3 and to 3.71 m33-3 and even further to 3.90.

my current psp was v2.01, i downgraded it to 1.5. this has been a long time ago.so about this pandora battery...i was really thinking to follow this guide to upgrade my 1.5 psp to 3.71 and use the 1.5 kernel patch so that i could play playstation games on it and play SNES, NES, genesis & n64 games on it as well. that's really all i'm worried about. unless i really have to update any further than that to 3.90 or whatever, i dont want to. so about the pandora and the cfw firmwares & stuff...if i follow this guide with my 1.5 psp. do i really need a pandora battery to upgrade into 3.52 m33-3 and further into 3.71 m33-3 or whatever just so i can use the 1.5 kernel patch & all that? i really hope i dont need a pandora battery because it looks so very complicated to make one of those. would i be able to follow this guide without a pandora battery? i'm thinking as long as i dont upgrade to the wrong thing or whatever and do this whole process just right and i should be fine...please help!!
And thanks for any given info!
