Default help with firmware 3.03 OE-B

Hi, i don't know alot of wat i'm doin but i got a fat psp with firmware 3.03 OE-B n heard this is a old n crap firmware to be using, so i'm looking to upgrade to a more respectable and custom firmware like 3.71 or 3.80 so i can play iso/cso games. I want to know if there's a way to go straight from 3.03 to 3.80 firmware or do i have to downgrade to 1.50 then upgrade to firmware 3.80? N if i have to downgrade back to 1.50 then i was wanting to know if the GTA liberty city stories thing that i've heard about would take me back to 1.50? I know this all probably sounds pretty noobish but plz let me be i'm new to it all n have tried searching for all kinds of info on google n haven't had any luck so someone plz, plz, plz reply it would be much apprecciated. Cheers

From your current firmware you can go to 3.52 M33-4 and then from there up to a higher firmware..no downgrading necessary.

Default help with firmware 3.03 OE-B

thanks alot kkrizka your simple and easy to understand guide was very helpful, but when i go to apply the m33-4 patch i can't find it in the applications menu where i launched the creator n that from, there is 3.52 M33UPDATE (used), 3.52 M33 CREATOR (used), one file with no title (image is grey with 3:33:33, n a march calander comes up in the background) and the last file is corrupted data. any ideas??? Cheers

thanks all for givin me the files n guides to upgrade i really, really appreciate it, thanks! I'm now at 3.51 M33 firmware without a hiccup, but i was wondering what would be the extra benefits to upgrade to the 3.80 M33? i mean i've gotten hombrew and iso games working and copied movie files workin n wasn't sure wat else could be offered by upgradin again, i've heard u can apply custom themes (which can brick i've heard) and it also gives u online radio or something but is that all?

3.80M33 gives you online radio (feature of the official 3.80) and popsloaded with multidisk games. Also some of the newer games might not work on 3.52M33.
