Firmware Installed: 4.01 M33-2

Default 3.52 m33-4 to 3.80 m33 error message and problem

I.m trying to upgrade my mates PSP1007 from 3.52m33-4 to 3.80 m33, the update starts off ok but when it switches back to the xmb mode part of the upgrade it displays

"The system configuration of this psp system does not appear to be correct.
The update cannot be completed
Contact technical support for assistance
DRNFFFFFFBO"

So I try chilly willy key cleaner v1.4 to check the keys and it says "The IDstorage identifies the region set to an unknown PSP-100?
Please report the code OxOB and your psp region and model.

Its a psp1007 according the the sticker on the bottom of the psp, I guess that this psp has no identifier, so could I just copy a nand image with idstorage from another psp and flash it to this one...or is there another way to fix this..?

I tried my upms pandoras on it to get to 3.71 m33-2 using dark alex's despertar cementerio v3 but just get a black screen after a few seconds, I just cant get it to upgrade.

Do not flash another nand from another psp it will only further complicate your problem. Use keycleaner to dump the keys, then manually hex the key for the region so that key cleaner will read it as the psp model you have.

Oh, one more thing you must make sure that key 5 is unpatched also before you try to upgrade.

Thanks for that dukepoth.....I have psp hex editor, but have never used it yet.

Is it pretty straightforward to manually edit the hex key. I have just looked at my dumped keys but cant find a 0x0B key, I see a 0x000F key, do you know where the psp identifier key is, and what do I have to do....thanks.
