need help, black screen but green light still on

Have you tried restarting your PSP with a normal battery yet? I'm talking one that's 100% perfectly real, not a pandora filled in with a pencil. I had the same issue a while back - Pandora runs through perfectly, but trying to restart it from USB or DC power afterwards doesn't work the first time. Cory149 over at the maxconsole forums explained it as a power issue, wherein USB/DC power isn't quite enough to kick it out of service mode, whereas the battery can. I know this doesn't make much sense, but it worked for me straight away after 3 weeks of trying, quite literally, EVERYTHING else.

ok well i tried to downgrade my psp slim (daxter pack) and before i read this i used TOTALnoobie easy installer. i did everything and well when i tried to turn it on it was blank but the green light was on. i tried holding the l button and turning it on but nothing. i tried r button but nothing. i tried r and brightness but nothing. i was wondering how do i fix it? my version is 3.60 i did the pandora thing and yea im stuck :S help PLEASE!!

try taking the battery out, plug in the ac charger then turn it on ,but keep the battery out

i have. it turns when i take the battery out and then plug the ac adapter in. once i put the battery in and unplug the adapter it will stay on until i turn it off. once i turn it off and try to turn it on again it goes back to the black screen with the light on
