psp downgrading from ver 3.95

Can anyone help me i recently bought a psp i have version 3.95 and im trying to get custom firmware by downgrading but im lost on how to go about this i tried many tutorials and i still cant seem to get it to work
do i need to buy anything to downgrade my psp or just download it from the internet if anyone can help me please reply thank you

I have the same question basically. I keep reading about the need to downgrade to 1.50 first. Do I need to just use Pandora's batt or downgrade first? this is my delima!! Sorry I have ofw 3.97 installed

If you have a slim PSP then you cannot downgrade to 1.50. 3.60 is the lowest itll go. In the guides there is a way to put cfw on a slim using pandoras battery. If its a fat psp it can go to 1.50.

pandora battery and mms will take you from ofw striaght to cfw... with out the use of going down then up again...

Forgot to put in there Mine is fat so is there benefits to downgrading to 1.50 or is it the same just using the Pandora's battery and mms? I have a battery coming tomorrow so I can try this out. I also read I will need the Lumines game? Does the game just sit in there during the dawngrade?

Fat psp can go to 1.50 but there are no benefits, slim & fat both end up on custom firmware anyway.
You cannot use the lumines game. That is a method for PSP's on 3.50 official firmware, not anything higher. (Used if you dont have a pandoras battery)
You will need a pandoras battery and mms to downgrade 3.97 official firmware.

Well 3.97is whats in his profile info. So i just put that down. But isnt the highest 3.95?

3.97 is what it said under my settings just updated this week before i saw it took a lower version to mod easily!!!! Thanks just upgraded to CFW t6day.
