Default Make a 4gb pandoras MMS with Multiloader!! FINALLY

ok this guide will only show you how to make the magic memory stick on XP.
Also i figured this out by using many people guides so i will give credit to those i am about to copy.

Firstly we need to format the memory stick into FAT not FAT32! - main problem

To do this go to Start>Run, type CMD, hit enter.
in the black box copy this:
format (Drive letter): /FS:FAT
^ remove brackets
let this finish. it will give a warning that only 64kb clusters can be used, press 'Y' to continue.

Next the files and instructions
Firstly i thank Hercules for his guide:
Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide

as he wrote:
just download this big old file called The Filez You Need.7z below(http://www.pspmod.com/forums/downloa...?do=file&id=22)

* after you have the downloaded files we will make a magic memory stick! ( the easiest part)
- extract the The File You Need.7z to your desktop (use WinRAR)
- Open README 1st folder
- highlight and copy MSINST and MSPFORMAT FOLDER
- open My Computer
- Left Click the C: drive once (Note: if you double click, it will open C: drive)
- Now RIGHT Click on C: drive and PASTE
- format your memory stick thru your psp (Settings>System Settings>Format Memory Stick)
- once that is done, enable USB mode
- make note of your drive letter (usually E: or F)
- open up command propmt (click Start, select Run, type in cmd and hit enter_
- Type in the following command "CD C:\" (note: with-out quote mark) HIT enter
- type the following command "mspformat\mspformat.exe X" ( where X=psp drive letter) note: NO quotation
- hit Y, then enter
- it should say "Drive succesfully formatted, and partition moved."
- disable USB mode, and take out the memory stick
- now re-insert the memory stick, and re-enable USB mode
- Now go back to the Desktop where you extracted the folder "The File You Need"
- double click it
- open the Despertar v3 folder, and copy its contents to your psp (just the contents, not the actual folder)
- now go back to your prompt window
- type the following command "msinst\msinst.exe X msinst\msipl.bin" (again where X=psp drive letter) note: NO quotation
- press Y and hit enter
- The last line should say " Write MS BOOT CODE "
- then type exit and enter
* you now have a magic memory stick!

Once this is done, you need to multiload, so you can have pandoras menu, CFW recovery menu and XMB.

so then follow this
download multiloader here: File Details-PSP-MS-Multiloader-IPL-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -

Next:
-Extract the RAR you downloaded to your desktop.
-Inside the newly extracted folder, run the program 'install_psp_ms_multi_loa der_ipl.cmd'.
-Plug the PSP in via USB to your PC, and toggle on USB.
-The installer will auto-detect your PSP.
-Press 'y' to accept the question "Are You Sure ?[Y]" message to install the IPL".
-Remove your PSP from USB, and take out your memor stick.
-Turn USB back on, with the memory stick inserted.
-Create a new folder in the root of your memory stick named 'ipl'.
-Copy the file named msipl.bin from the root of your memory stick, to the folder you have just created ('ipl').
-Rename the newly copied 'msipl.bin' to '150ex.bin'.
-In the RECOVERY_LOADER folder found in the RAR you extracted earlier, you will find a file named 'pspboot.bin'.
-Copy 'pspboot.bin' to the ipl folder on your memory stick, and rename it to 'ipl.bin'.
-Turn off USB, and remove the memory stick.

YOUR DONE, use a power cord to boot the PSP normally then put in your mem stick if you have not already created the battery, then from here your on your own.

Once you have made the battery, use the new MMS you have created to boot into pandora by holding L Trigger on boot up.
Boot into XMB by doing nothing, and recovery by holding R Trigger.

Default Make a 4gb pandoras MMS with Multiloader!! FINALLY

quite some views but nobody finding this useful, anyway i have another surprise:

How to install Ultimate Pandoras Memory Stick on a 4GB MSPD - im using SONY
This will install pandora memory stick files and create the battery and allow you to downgrade a PSP to 1.50, 3.52M33 /M33-4, 3.71M33, 3.80M33 or 3.90M33 in one menu! Also it will allow you to boot Pandora and XMB with the same battery and MMS.

To do this follow the below

After doing the first step in my guide you can also do this.
Create the standard folders which the PSP makes MANUALLY!! Dont use PSP format function as it will use the FAT32 format once more! We need FAT
Such as MP_ROOT and PSP and GAME and GAME150 and all of those.
Then download http://www.noob911.com/downloads/psp...nstallerV4.rar

This is UPMS V4, extract the contents and follow this guide from: [GUIDE]:UPMS(Ultimate Pandora's Magic Stick) Installer-Sapphire V4-**UPDATED 4/6/08** Credit goes to author dEEz_nUtz thank you!

"Before you get started, you will need:
1> A psp with custom firmware already installed (All current custom firmwares can now be used for making the UPMS)
2> A battery you want to convert to a Pandora (yes,it can be converted back)
3> A spare memory stick PRO DUO (ideally a 512MB)
4>1.50, 3.71, 3.80, and 3.90 official $ony firmware updates
5>The installer which can be found HERE

Getting Started:
1>IF YOU ARE RUNNING ANY CUSTOM THEMES-NOW IS THE TIME TO DISABLE THEM...DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU HAVE A CUSTOM THEME INSTALLED IN FLASH0-It will cause problems! (ie: Brick when installing V5)

3>Go into USB mode and copy the UPMS installer.cso into your ISO folder
3a>Copy the 1.50 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 150.PBP
3b>Copy the 3.71 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 371.PBP
3c>Copy the 3.80 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 380.PBP
3d>Copy the 3.90 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 390.PBP
4>Exit USB mode and run the UPMS program from the XMB as you would an ISO or cso. (make sure your NO-UMD is set correctly in recovery mode-SONY NP9660)
1) If on CFW 3.80 or above install the FATMSMOD.prx it asks for.

2) Now run UPMS (Press X), select step 1, install option 3 - Multi IPL and Sleep Fix.

3) Select step 2 to create the battery into a service mode one. BACKUP EEPROM FIRST

4) Select step 3 to create the MMS utilites for downgrading. Pick option 2 the slowest but better one. Select any defualt folder you can change it later.

5) Then step 4, install the updates to 3.52 M33 -4, others are optional.

i didnt install the 1.50 kernals as they dont work for Slims, so if i wanted to downgrade a slim, by installing the 1.50 kernal i might mess things up in the future for other PSP's. So that is optional to your circumstances.

once your done exit.

It works, just did it lol

Default Make a 4gb pandoras MMS with Multiloader!! FINALLY

I must say very good guide but what would be the reason anyone would need a 4gb mms that seems like a waste of such a big memory stick when a 1gb stick works fine and you could make you a pandora battery and have you a very helpful kit laying around. This is only my honest opinion and there is no disrespect intended...

Dude... You should of given Herc credit. Nice guide Herc! =]

EDIT: To the guy who wanted to know of the use of a 4GB MMS. It's much easier to have a MMS and enough memory for homebrew and emulators and so-on... Some people buy another Memory Stick JUST for their Pandora battery, which is a waste. If you have a 4GB you can make it a MMS, and have room. This makes it so your not buying another Memory Stick...

I have a 4gb Sony Pro Duo and a Sony PSP Light and Slim (I think) with Official 3.95.

Will the first posted guide help me create a MMS out of my 4gb with what I have? (I think I have enough information to set the battery up).
