remote play and activation via ps3 possible with cfw?

i tried doing this before and an error occured and my psp bricked. anyway, i think the ps3 can get into the psp firmware to change some stuff to work with the ps3. but i think psp custom firmware is different and is differenty set up. anyway, is there a possible way to get this to work? thx

CFW has all the capabilities that OFW has. In order for remote play to work, i think both the PS3 and PSP have to be up to date on firmware

yup. if u are at 3.90 M33-3 remote play wont work because the newest OFW is 3.95, and if u can log into the PSN Store you have the most recent PS3 firmware. I would suggest waiting for 4.00 M33 to come out, because the 3.95 GEN doesnt have PSX emulation, and PSX emulation on psp isnt worth losing to being able to look at ur PS3 on a tiny screen instead of a television screen.

I can cetainly agree with that notion. I for one would prefer to maintain my PSX capability as opposed to getting to look at my PS3 an a tiny screen.

However, my PS3 is fully up to date and I'm still able to use remote play on my PSP which is running 3.90m33-3. I'll have to try it again when I get home from work just to be sure though.

I have CFW 3.71 M33-4 and I am able to use remote play. I had to use PSARDUMPER and replace the premo_plugin.prx and premo_plugin.rco files in the flash0. I want to get 3.80 or 3.90 m33 CFW but I do not know if my PSX games will work and no one gives a straight answer about it.

As I said before I'm running 3.90m33-3, and I have one PSX game that runs great on it. Granted, it's the only one I've tried so far. I've still got to figure out how to rip my PSX disks and make then EBOOTs.

i think it got messed up because i set xmb device to umd disc and arranged everything differently. sory guys. it works now!!!!

I am totally new to this whole thing and im sure my input is already known but just in case I am running on m-33 3.90 thanks to this forum and making a pandoras battery,my firmware just before was 3.95 had to update when I found out about doing the whole remote play thing I have tons of music on my ps3....but anyways before I keep rambling I have no problem now doing remote play(had to re-mate the units and I always unplug my internet connection from my ps3 just incase)But I saw a couple people had probs with psx games playing on m-33 3.90 I have only tried two so far (big bass fishing and destruction derby)with no problems I put the e-boots and keys if it has some(big bass did not and it works fine) in a folder of that games name short with.bin at the end of the name and I stick that into psp>game folder both have worked those were only ones I have tried so far will get back with more titles that im trying dont know if that helped anyone but thats cool if it does.
