Help Updating from cfw 3.71m33

Sorry for the extremely noobish quesiton, but -

I currently have cfw 3.71 m33 on my psp slim.
I would like to update to the 4.01 m33 but I have no
idea how to go about doing this. Do I need to update to 3.80 m33, then to
3.90 m33, then to 4.01 m33? Or can I go from 3.71 m33 straight to 4.01 m33?

A brief description of how to do this would be greatly appriciated.

you can go to 3.80m33,then check in recovery that your on m33 network update & do a network update to 4.01m33

Thanks much man. That guide link helped. Running on CFW 4.01 m33-2 now.
Also, upgrading in the future should go much smoother. My most sincere thanks for everyones patience and help.
