CFW and magicgate question

Hi, apologies if this post exists already but my search isnt working.

I have a psp slim, a datel battery and will install cfw tonight, first time i have done it, all prepped and ready, although just noticed my 4gb memstick isnt magicgate (yep prob another ebay fake) although never had any probs with it and runs pretty quick.

now will this be a prob when i create magicmem stick?

last thing i want is to start the process and it dies or sumat.

any advice would be appreciated.

ah it's ok, i have just found a post that suggests it must be magicgate compatible otherwise pandora bat will hang on.

right, now to find a real pro duo

i've made my MMS using a fake 8gb pro duo card and it works!

yeah, I don't have any fakes, but I've read a lot about people having success with them. Some fakes fail, some work, but most people say fakes are no good for MMS just to cover their ass I guess.

The only way for anyone to know if THEIR fake works is to try it themselves.
