Default Battery died as I was updating!

I was updating my psp and the power went off so the update wasnt able to complete. Now my psp wont turn on, all that happens is the power light comes on for a few seconds and I've tried taking out the battery and using the adapter already.

Can someone please help me here?

Cheers.

You need a Pandora's Battery in order to fix it. The firmware didn't install correctly. Just buy one or make one, and install custom firmware while you are at it. Just GOOGLE search for how to do it and you will be fine. You can get one for 10 bucks at DealExtreme.com

When exactly did it die? Near the start or near the end?
Try powering it up with the R-trigger pressed.

Mmm.. Well you have a bricked psp, it doesn't seem like you knew it, so I felt the need to say so. Also, if you try accessing the Recovery menu, the screen will light up black, but nothing more.
Try making a pandoras battery \/
ghisidf

And then Google how to use your pandoras battery.
If you follow all the steps correctly, you should be back in business..
If that doesn't work, on this very same forum, you can find a guide...
This guide is pretty "full-proof" so you might just want to use this guide from the start.
I suggest using the video, seeing as you can't visually see the method, rather than reading it..
good luckk...

The update was at like 19% and I'm really not sure as to why it died...it was on then it wasnt. I've tried using the R-Trigger to turn it on and I'm not confident enough to pandora the battery.

Did you set it down hard enough that the battery moved and lost contact?
My PSP was part of a trade, so it was used, and the battery tabs are worn out.
So I can't just drop it on my bed, or it will turn off.

too bad, should have had it plugged in while updating.

In any case, use a pandora battery and magic memory stick to fix it.

if it was during the prices then its a semi brick, cuz not all the files are on ur psp u can simply fix it by gettting a pandora and mms and just do it again, make sure pandora is at least half way full. dont want to brick it again...?
