Firmware decision

I'm currently using 3.40 OE-A on an original psp. I haven't even considering updating since I put this on, but now I'm looking for something better, preferably something with some really cool or useful features built in.

I've seen a lot of threads on how to install and where to find the updates, but where can I find a list of features and "pros vs cons"? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

more features would be later versions, but there is a point where people do not want any more features. which is why some people feel no need to upgrade. but imo go for the latest DA 4.01M33-2

3.90m33 has built in skype. for info on more features use GOOGLE

googling only brought back a bunch of guides to install it, and that 3.8m33-5 has the least bugs, but nothing about any of the features or whether or not they can support emu's and .iso or anything of that sort.

I really apologize if this is something I should know already, I just haven't kept up to date at all since installing 3.4 and I'm looking for something better.

preferably something that plays psx well, supports emu's, possibly runs both of those faster. I'm currently experiencing a lot of slow down in my emulators on a lot of games. maybe some music features or the ability to connect with the ps3 correctly.

with all due respect, just friggen upgrade it to the latest dark alex m33!! sry im abit cranky cuz its 4PM <-yes PM and i havent slept yet.. but cmon!!

ok, upgraded to 3.52m33-4 to upgrade to 4.01, but on the install I get hung up on please wait.... any ideas?

nevermind, that was my boneheadedness, I was running on 1.5 kernel, working now.
