Updating from 3.52 CFW

I'm thinking about updating my 3.52 CFW to something higher so I can play great games like Patapon. What's entaled? Do I need to futz around with the magic memory stick and that crap or is that just for people trying to go from an official FW to a CFW?Thanks for your help!

Go there and update to 3.71 M33. Then go to 3.80 M33, then 3.90 M33, finally upgrade to 4.01 M33. Read the readmes for help upgrading to each firmware.
